Finally tearing ourselves away from Faial, it was time to hit open waters again. Getting to them was not very easy though.
After not being able to shove off the dock due to a strong current pushing us in, the marina had to bring out their tender to pull us off. But from there we had an amazing motor-sail to the isand of Faial. Surrounded by three beautiful Azorean islands, we had a quick visit from dolphins and a spectacular sunset over Sao Jorge.
The morning was overcast and misty, making our approach to Terceria a little unnerving since there are many large rocks surrounding the harbor of Angra do Heroismo. A Unesco World Heritage site, it was another amazing landfall for us in the Azores. Plus we had a bonus surprise the night we arrived…old friends from Indiantown happened to be there too!
Much love from the Azores!
