VIEWER TIPS TESTED! 🧪 Cleaning 60ft of Grime, BBQ Rebuild, Ice Maker Install & Teak Restoration

Maintaining a 23-year-old Nordhavn 57 means the "to-do" list is never truly finished. In this episode of Projects in Paradise, we’re knocking out a series of small but satisfying boat projects that make a massive difference in our liveaboard life.

First up, we’re putting your suggestions to the test! Our 50-amp power cord was looking pretty industrial, so we tested multiple viewer-recommended cleaners to see which one actually cuts through years of dock grime. Then, we dive into the cockpit to rebuild our marine BBQ—because a cruiser is only as good as their ability to grill in a remote anchorage!

Pat also gets to work on the aesthetics, applying Cetol to the transom teak to protect it from the harsh Mexican sun, and we finally tackle the "coldest" project on the list: installing a new marine ice maker to replace our broken unit.

If you love DIY boat maintenance, product testing, or just want to see the reality of keeping an expedition trawler in top shape, join the Noeta crew for this week's "Project Smorgasbord!"

In This Episode:

The Power Cord Challenge: Testing 3 different cleaners to restore our yellow shore power cable.

Marine BBQ Rebuild: How to refresh your stainless steel grill for the Sea of Cortez.

Teak Maintenance: Tips for applying Cetol to keep your transom looking like new.

Ice Maker Install: Swapping out a broken unit to keep the sundowners cold.

Trawler Life: Managing the "little things" that keep a Nordhavn 57 running smoothly.
