ECLIPSE AT SEA! 🌑 Total Totality & Exploring "The Galapagos of Mexico" (Isla Isabel)
Experience the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse from the best seat in the house—the middle of the Sea of Cortez! In this episode of Noeta, we embark on an ambitious passage from Puerto Vallarta toward north into the Sea of Cortez to position ourselves directly in the path of totality. Buddy boating with a fleet of four other boats, we witness the haunting beauty of a total eclipse while surrounded by nothing but the open ocean.
After the shadows passed, we navigated to the legendary Isla Isabel National Park. Known as the "Galapagos of Mexico," this remote volcanic island is a sanctuary for thousands of Blue-footed Boobies, Frigate birds, and incredible marine life. We go ashore to explore the rugged trails, volcanic craters, and pristine beaches that few travelers ever get to see.
