βš“ Anchor Alarms + Making Water + Red Tide + Super Bowl = WINNING πŸ₯‡

The journey continues through the Sea of Cortez! After a beautiful stay in San Juanico, we pull the hook and head south to the stunning Bahia de los Candeleros. This episode is packed with the real-world skills of liveaboard cruising, including a deep dive into our offshore systems. We’re showing you exactly how we use our marine water maker to stay self-sufficient and testing out different anchor alarm apps to ensure Noeta stays put during the night.

Nature threw us a curveball with a massive red tide (bioluminescence) surrounding Noeta, but we didn't let that stop the fun. We managed to stream the Super Bowl at anchorβ€”a true test of our offshore internet setup!

But the biggest moment of the week? Alexa takes the helm for her first-ever docking. Maneuvering a 60-ton Nordhavn 57 into a slip is a high-pressure rite of passage for any aspiring captain. Watch to see if she nails the approach or if the wind and current had other plans!

In This Episode:

Alexa’s First Docking: The nerves and the technique behind handling a massive expedition trawler.

Water Maker 101: How we create fresh water while off-grid cruising.

Anchor Alarm Test: Comparing tech to prevent anchor dragging in remote bays.

Baja Nature: Witnessing the unique phenomenon of a Mexico red tide.

Super Bowl at Sea: Our setup for watching live TV while anchored in the Baja.

Candeleros Exploration: Exploring the rugged beauty of one of our favorite Baja anchorages.
