In this short video Matt shows you how we take apart our Windlass and service it. Our windlass is a very important part of our sailing, as we mostly anchor, and without it would mean needing to haul it up and down by hand. Now and again when the anchor drags up too much weed and mud it jams up the windlass, making it hard to let out the chain when we need to. We tend to service it once every month, but since leaving Scotland we don’t normally have too much weed as we mainly anchor in sand.
