Ep 361 | Our FINAL VOYAGE on Nutshell: The Last Sail Before We SELL HER

We set off on our final journey aboard Nutshell, sailing down the spectacular Berkeley River, spotting crocodiles and filling our water supply from a hidden creek before making our way to Crab Craw Island. This episode follows our last sail into Darwin for clearance and the emotional end of an unforgettable chapter.

FINAL JOURNEY ON NUTSHELL: BERKELEY RIVER TO DARWIN

We embark on our final sail on Nutshell, navigating down the stunning Berkeley River, passing close to the vertical gorge walls and finally anchoring near the river's end.

Taking Peanut, we head to the end of the river to check if the water is still flowing. It’s a different time of year—end of the wet season—and the Kimberley landscape is quite different, with most of the waterfalls now dry.

We spot a resident crocodile. We are very used to crocodiles, so we keep a safe distance.

Next, we make our way to a hidden creek and billabong to fill up our bladder for our water supply on Nutshell.

Finally, we leave the Berkeley River and sail to our anchorage at Crab Craw Island, where we indulge in a much-awaited parmy at the local restaurant.

Our journey concludes as we sail to Darwin for the long-awaited final country check-in process and clearance.

Thank you for being part of our incredible voyage on Nutshell. It’s been one hell of a ride!

Please join us on our new adventure. We like to mix it up and experience new things, so we’re going to sail a houseboat from Brisbane to the Kimberley.

How? Watch this space.

And thanks for watching.

Until next time…

Wendy and Magnus
