The Hallberg-Rassy 39 was built from 1991 until 2003, totaling 209 boats built. Hull Number 1-54 between 1991 and 1994 were the Mark I, number 55-209 were Mark II The main difference between Mk I and Mk II is that the Mk I has a traditional transom and the Mk II a developed transom with built in bathing platform. The rest of the hull, keel, rudder, engine and sail plan remained the same.
Designed by German Frers, the HR 39 has all the credentials of an offshore cruising yacht…from her solid construction, meticulous finish and joinery work to her sensible layout and sailing characteristics. All these features combine to make the HR 39 one of the most desired after models from Sweden’s premier yacht builder.
This HR 39 offers two generous double cabins and large head, seagoing galley and a spacious salon. She has a real sit down nav station, the salon is very open and comfortable and the galley works well at sea or at anchor. There is a great amount of storage making it possible to stay out for extended periods of time.
Scout was carefully outfitted with extended comfortable cruising in mind with many recent upgrades and desirable options and she is literally ready to go

Learning the Lines is a channel about us, an average couple in our 20’s, with big dreams to be sailing the world by the time we’re in our 30’s. We’re not afraid to jump into anything, put in the work, and learn as we go. We started out with Somnium, an O’day 272, moved onto Freebie, an Endeavour 32, and now are focusing on sailboat tours and working full time as teachers while we save up for our next boat.
