We took a break from the motor compartment stuff to work on our galley refit. This video outlines all the prep work we’ve been doing prior to installing our solid surface counter tops and new galley sink and faucet.
The goal is to have a functional and clean-looking galley that is up to date with modern fixtures and appliances, but nothing to complicated. Simpler is always better so we’re only going to have a fridge/freezer, microwave, sink, and gimbaled induction cooktop. We feel we can cook just about anything with those things, and use zero fossil fuels while doing so.
We’re going to do LG Solid surface counters in concrete grey along with blue/green peel-and-stick tiles for the backsplash.

Learning the Lines is a channel about us, an average couple in our 20’s, with big dreams to be sailing the world by the time we’re in our 30’s. We’re not afraid to jump into anything, put in the work, and learn as we go. For this reason our channel is very DIY focused, with the goal to show anyone watching that a lot is possible if you’re not afraid to make some mistakes along the way.
