Inside the F18 World Championship 2026

The 2026 Formula 18 World Championship delivered one of the most exciting high-performance catamaran regattas of the year. Held at Jervoise Bay in Western Australia, the fleet faced strong sea-breeze conditions, fast reaching legs, and physically demanding racing all week.

With 74 boats from five continents and more than a dozen nations, the event attracted some of the biggest names in the sport. Multi-time world champion Darren Bundock teamed up with America’s Cup legend Glenn Ashby, while top F18 teams from around the globe battled for the world title.

But this regatta wasn’t just about the elite sailors. The 2026 F18 Worlds also featured strong youth participation, mixed teams, and a record number of female sailors on the start line. From Olympic-level sailors to 14-year-old competitors, the fleet truly represented the past, present, and future of the class.

In the end, Brett and Max claimed the world title with superior boat speed and years of experience sailing together in heavy conditions, proving once again that the Formula 18 class remains one of the most exciting and innovative high-performance catamaran fleets in the world.

This video brings you the highlights, interviews, and atmosphere from what many are calling the best regatta of 2026.
