Following my two rather sorrowful Videos earlier this year, and after much reflection and consultation with my advisors and sponsors, I have decided to keep Wahine and focus for the time being on exploring Japan from the sea. The goal of solo sailing across the Pacific, through the North Pacific Garbage Patch, remains an aspiration; I am removing the self-imposed pressure of going solo before I am 70. Also in this episode is the video from the Sailing Japan Channel meet-up with the Tokyo Sail and Power Squadron at the Japan International Boat Show.
The plan is to explore the Amami Islands over the next few months and then to Okinawa for the Winter. Stay tuned, as some exciting developments are coming.
