We just beat a good storm with 50 knot winds into Bay of Islands, and take shelter in Wood’s Island Harbour and then dock at Bay of Islands Yacht Club. We explore Corner Brook and do some re-provisioning before sailing up to Goose Arm to anchor and do some hiking & swmming. From our final anchorage for this season at Lark Harbour we set out to walk to Little Port to see their famous orange dories. Jayne models her nice orange life jacket!
We would haul-out and over winter our Niagara 35 sloop Phantasia with the friendly assistance at the Bay of Islands Yacht Club.
Part 2 coming up covers sailing up and around the top of Newfoundland then down the east coast to Lewisporte.
