Yacht Self-Steering System for all Conditions - 5 Minute Free Range
Come aboard our yacht Mirrool for a look at our hybrid self steering system. We combine electronics with a wind vane to create a system that takes advantage of both methods’ strengths and eliminate their weaknesses.
Usually, electrical auto pilots consume considerable power from your battery banks but this method is extremely conservative in power requirements.
The way we attach the two together can be dismantled in seconds to restore the wind vane back to powerless operation and allow the electronic component to be secured below or taken off the vessel.
