What began as an easy downwind sail from Port Clinton to Middle Percy Island on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef became more complicated as the wind and sea state built, we had a near collision with a huge motorboat and then suffered a serious rigging failure in 25-30 knot winds and 2 to 3 metre seas.
