We continue our Indonesian sailing adventures with a rest stop anchoring at a very welcoming isolated island community on our way to Borneo from Sulawesi. While it is about as close to paradise as you can get, the isolation of full time cruising takes an emotional toll as Karen celebrates her birthday thousands of kilometres away from family. Fortunately, her melancholy disappears with the setting sun and next day we sail further west on an overnight passage across the Makassar Strait to a breathtaking island group surrounded by crystal-clear seas. Experience the highs and lows of the liveaboard lifestyle, remote island exploration, offshore sailing, tropical anchorages, and the freedom and challenges of long-term boat life. If you love sailing adventures, cruising life, travel documentaries, and exploring hidden gems off the beaten path, watch through to the end.
