In July 2023 we completed our first international crossing on SV Our Dreamtime, sailing from Horn Island in the Torres Strait to Debut on the island of Kai Kecil in Indonesia. Five days at sea, 700 nautical miles across the Gulf of Carpentaria and Arafura Sea in strong winds and rough seas on our Whitby 42 foot sailboat, dodging huge fishing fleets and countless nets, responding to a Pan Pan emergency call, and all with novice sailors onboard.
