Sailing Adventure: The crew of Cheeky Monkey – now three Americans, two French and a Brit – head out across the Atlantic for one hell of a ride. Leaving Morocco and heading to the Caribbean, with just one stop in the Canary Islands, the crew encounter beautiful downwind sailing, a wind hole due to a huge storm in the North Atlantic, the pressures of living together, a few crazy mid-Atlantic experiments and end up on completely the wrong island, after they took a detour to get to land in time for a big party bash.
This is a promo for our upcoming Atlantic Crossing series, which includes three videos of our experiences sailing the Atlantic.
Four of the crew have ocean crossing experience before (14 ocean crossings in total) but nothing like this one. This crossing was less about dodging storms and sailing the boat to the max, and more about enjoying the wonderful pleasures of spending weeks at sea with friends, finding time for contemplation and trying to keep the freezer stocked with freshly caught fish.
