In this video story, 6 crew on board Cheeky Monkey sail into Rabat, Morocco and rent a car with a mission to explore Morocco over the course of 48 hours. They drive from Rabat to Casablanca to explore the bazaar and get a feel for the town, then after a few hours of walking around, they hop in the car and drive to Marrakesh, where they stay in a traditional riad (house) near the Medina (city center).
With only 24 hours to explore Marrakesh before they have to get back to Rabat to sail off to the Canary Islands, they make the most of their short time by exploring the market, walking the streets, visiting the Majorelle Gardens, taking a horse and cart tour and getting scrubbed down at a public hamam.
Once they return to Rabat it is time to go sailing again as they get closer to crossing the Atlantic Ocean. Stayed tuned (and subscribe!) for our next episode – Sailing to the Canary Islands – to see how the new crew of Cheeky Monkey get on together at sea.
