We make our final preparations to finally set sail for the Galapagos Islands after spending 6-weeks in Panama prepping for the big Pacific Ocean Crossing. Before slipping lines we took a day to explore the beautiful Casco Viejo (The Old City) with Habla Ya. Later that day, they attempted to teach us a little bit of Spanish to help make getting around Panama City a bit easier.
It was a late start to the trip on our final day of departure, but it was beautiful to say the least, departing under the lights of the ‘Bridge of the Americas’. It was a short trip before stopping again inside Isla Perlas to jump in the water and clean Cheeky Monkey’s hull to meet the entrance requirements of the Galapagos Islands. Stay tuned for the rest of our bumpy journey south to the animal paradise of the Galapagos!
