After ten months of travel, we finally sail from the Northern Hemisphere to the Southern Hemisphere, sailing across the Equator just east of the Galapagos Islands. Let the party begin! King Neptune arrives and is clearly not impressed with the Pollywogs onboard who he subjects to a few punishments for their heinous crimes. And everyone gets dressed up (and who doesn’t like to get dressed up?)
After, we arrive in the Galapagos Islands just after sunrise and it is one of the most magical experiences we’ve ever had. And just when you think it can’t get any better, we’re welcomed by a pod of whales who seem as interested in us as we are in them. We are keen to get to shore and encounter hundreds of the most adorable sea lions in the world. Our trip to the Galapagos is off to an awesome start!
