Some of you might remember when we lost our DJI Mavic Pro to an accident in the marina and it fell in the ocean… it was on the bottom in salt water for almost half an hour before we recovered it. I put it in a fresh water bath right away for several hours, but after several days drying out and many attempts to revive it, it was officially dead.
A few months later I found it in storage and decided to try it again just for fun… and it worked!! After a few tests and to check if it was communicating with the remote, we took it to a field well away from everything to see if it would actually fly, and it flew perfect and with all sensors working.. only thing still broken is the camera gimbal, but we have the parts to fix that now and will give it a try!
Long live the DJI Mavic Pro!
I have had nothing but great experience with my Mavic Pro (aside from crashing it in the ocean), and had since bought another Mavic to continue on with.. and soon we will be the proud owners of a brand new Mavic 2 Pro with the new Hasselblad camera… can’t wait! 🙂
