On June 20th, 2013, Leverick Bay Resort awarded a $5000 donation to the Virgin Gorda Diabetes Association. Present were Verne Wheatley, Chairman of the Virgin Gorda Charitable Company.. Franka Pickering, President of Virgin Gorda Diabetes Association.. Sherens Flax Charles, Manager of Virgin Gorda board of BVI Tourism.. and Nick & Monica Willis, Managers of Leverick Bay Resort & Marina.
The donation was proceeds from this years Leverick Bay Poker Run which helps different charities across Virgin Gorda every year.
