What happens when a beautiful classic sailboat gets forgotten in a boat barn for a decade?
We found out.
This **1979 Cal 39 MKII** has been sitting quietly for roughly 10 years—and somehow, it looks like time forgot about it, too. The interior is mint, the dodger looks almost new, the sails look like they’ve barely been used, and the **Perkins 4-108 diesel is clean as a whistle**.
Commission the engine, drop her in the water, bend on the sails…and go sailing.
And this isn't just any old fiberglass cruiser. The **Cal 39 MKII was designed by the legendary Bill Lapworth**, the man behind the groundbreaking **Cal 40**, a boat that helped change the course of offshore sailboat racing and influenced an entire generation of modern sailboat design.
