In this episode we finally manage to get the outboard motor running so that Gillian can pick me (Jonas) up from my last day of work at my building near the water. There were many fortunate coincidences this year when transitioning to living on a boat, but one of the best was that we were able to moor within a 20 minute dinghy ride of my office! We probably won’t get that chance too often in our working lives…
This was a melancholy video to film and edit because we capture Jonas’ departure to a new work contract, which means he will be away from the sailboat periodically…and leaving just when the weather has started to get really nice!
But we are accustomed to this kind of rotating schedule and I am grateful to have any employment at all during this pandemic. It is a blessing in itself, when so many people are out of work or their livelihoods have been disrupted.
Thanks so much for watching,
J+G
