Seven years ago, when we rescued our sailboat Saoirse in Florida, there was never a thought of sailing her north. Never ever. Itβs cold up there, right? Our sights were set on the azure blue warm waters of the Caribbean, and for the past five years, that’s exactly where we’ve been exploring and living on our little floating home. However, life has a way of surprising us and despite the initial plan, here we are, on a journey to the furthest North we’ve ever sailed. The saying “never say never” truly captures the essence of our life out here on the water.
We have to be willing to embrace the unplanned, unexpected and unknown so we can truly appreciate this unpredictable beauty of life at sea.
