Davy and I (Erica) have recently upgraded to a hurricane damaged catamaran! This new chapter is going to push us in very different ways. From repairing fibreglass, fixing electronics, cleaning up the cosmetics and many many more jobs, this new phase of our adventure is going to be very exciting. We are looking forward to getting Barefoot 2.0 up to cruising standards! Merry Christmas from us at Barefoot Sail and Dive! We are super excited to share with you a Christmas special of where we have been this year. So much has changed since the beginning of 2020. We started out working in Grand Cayman, living on our old monohull, the Catalina 36.
We had decided to purchase a hurricane damaged catamaran with the intention of fixing it in the cayman islands while we worked. That obviously didn’t happen as we both got stuck outside of Cayman in Puerto Rico.
We really enjoyed our 3 months in PR, learning the boat and spending time with dock friends. However we really didn’t get to explore PR much.
We motored 300nm to Luperon back in June and have spent our time here doing boat projects and exploring a little bit. Thank you for following our sailing adventures!
