Birthday in Chicago! AHOD 3 - Willis Tower Skydeck, Garden of the Phoenix, & Moulin Rouge!
Hey all!
Sorry for the delay in getting out this video! As you know, we recently purchased a 1980 Gulfstar 50 foot sailboat, and we are in the process of refitting the boat so that we can set sail for new horizons.
Unfortunately, our otherwise fabulous boat yard changed the work rules on us a little bit. In short, we cannot go do all of the work ourselves for a few months, but during that time we can have contractors start on some projects. Once the storage period is over, we will be down with our boat diving into boat work.
In the meantime, we are splitting time between Chicago, St. Louis, and Florida. There’s a lot of logistics to get sorted out (jobs, selling our power boat, cars etc.) before we can splash Magic Dragon.
We also have other commitments, like family birthdays, work, and races.
In this episode, we take a little bit of time away from the boat/life logistics and celebrate Kirstin’s birthday with a staycation in Chicago! We enjoyed the Cherry Blossoms of Jackson Park, the Garden of the Phoenix, the Skydeck at the Willis Tower (a/k/a the Sears Tower), enjoyed good food, and saw Moulin Rouge! The Musical. It was a fantastic weekend.
