Blacking out is one of the most dangerous risks of free diving but it is a risk that can be mitigated with proper training, experience, and technique. The dangers of loosing consciousness while free diving is even more pronounced while practicing breath hold diving in the remote areas we visit while sailing. But when everything goes well free diving is one of the most pure and beautiful ways to move through the ocean world.
