When we're not feeling energetic enough to tackle Whitsunday Peak, there's another fantastic little track we traverse from the anchorage at Cid Harbour.
Strolling from Sawmill Bay to Dugong Beach (or vice versa), is a lovely way to while away an hour or so, which is about what it takes to make the round trip, allowing for a beach stop.
The Whitsunday islands are blessed with several excellent Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service walking tracks.
Some, like this one, bear connection to the area's traditional owners as part of the "Ngaro Sea Trail".
