Milled lumber is expensive. A much cheaper alternative is to purchase dimensional lumber and mill it yourself. Here I convert a 16 foot long 2x12 into 1/4 inch Planking stock.

After getting the boathouse all set and ready to go in order to start lofting the plans for Arabella, we received a surprise visit from the building inspector and had to take the whole thing down and move it... That didn't stop us though! Going strong!
