We enjoyed our time in La Paz, but without a plan for sitting out hurricanes in the city (if any happen to make it up there this year) we have to head north as a precaution. We visit some spots that we hoped to see before, and cook up a storm!

We travel all the way around Espirito Santo, and Robi takes a second trip around Cabo helping out our friend Scott on Maiweh. Unfortunately, rudder disaster strikes not far off the coast...

We’ve been meeting up with folks we know or have known about in all the anchorages down here! Our friends on SV Adventurer (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpnuWBGpQp-SWgtGsKGBoFA) were generous enough to bring Robi a 'new' pair of glasses, and the Sea ...
After lots of hard work on S/V Rossa, she finally got us to Cabo San Lucas, on the southern tip of Baja California. Our journey isn't over yet though. We had to make our way to La Paz, one of the hurricane holes located within the Sea of Cortez.

It has been a dream for many years to visit a place where the vastness of the blue ocean meets the majesty of sand dunes. And here it is on the Baja Coast! Robi loves looking for seafood in the oasis of life in the mangroves, so Bahia Magdalena was a great...
We're headed to someplace where we can jump into the water without a wetsuit. We start to see a glimpse of that around Isla Cedros, as well as some luck in catching fish for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We hope that you can continue to join us as we make ...
**Sorry for the sound, but busy sailors are either surrounded by wind or engines, not a good combination for microphones**
Before leaving San Francisco, our friend Heather Richard gave us the low-down on living aboard while running a charter business. Som...
We finally depart from San Francisco, heading for Baja California. The winds are in our favour, so we get pretty far quickly. See what awaits Rossa and her crew in Mexico!

A lot has happened since we took our mast down - what was supposed to be a simple job, of course turned into something more complicated. It was also compounded by Robi injuring his thumb and not being able to lead our project as easily.
But we plowed thro...
What a party! We take down the mast to tackle some repairs that were just too complex to make while it was standing.
We are also invited to sail with others here in San Francisco Bay on a variety of different boats.

Before heading to the boatyard, we move onto the new boat, and work on several projects, including the rigging and windows.
We also speak to a couple of fellow liveaboards here in Sausalito about life on the water and sailing boats.

We were generously given a new sailboat - but at first we weren't so sure it would be a good idea to get involved with such a project.
With a little bit of love however, she's beginning to look tidy and liveable. Join us on the refit adventure!

We finally get to take a look at the underside of Maiweh, and work on the hull, valve, and rudder. The squeeze is on for time and money, so the project lasts only about a week. After that, we're on to Vancouver and where Robi acquires a US visa before cros...
With wind and current in our favour for some odd reason, we race up the west coast of Vancouver Island, up around the top end, and down the Johnston Strait to Campbell River.

It's somewhat shell-shocking to leave the little town for the 'big' one. We also accomplish some work on Maiweh, although not necessarily the projects we originally planned for. And we get by with a little help from our viewer friends.

We get on the busy waters, let the spinnaker fly, release the small fry, fry up the fruits de mer, and tear down the old windows.
