Getting the last major work done before Lockdown in Metro Melbourne.
Fairing using a fairing coat, slapping on some more paint for protection and covering up the boat for longtime storage. Hull sides are now ready for final fairing when we get back to Wil...
Months of work culminate this week in the final install of both of our Engine Room Modules. Plenty of prep and boat building this week as these parts will be a real assett to my final Catamaran Build.

An almost critical error is averted this week as the penultimate demoulding process looms after 3 years of work. Clearly demonstrates why we need to think things through over and over to ensure all of our ducks are in a line. Welcome to boat building 101.

Installing the dead glass in this case , or dead wood in traditional boatbuilding speak is an essential part of any stern drive boat. The beefing up of this region of the hulls is a major step forward and the completion of the bilges under my Engine rooms ...
We’re recovering from last week and get to a project we know we can complete; the main chainplates! It was fun working on a straight forward project. Much of the work was already done and all that was left was to secure them to the hull. So much thinking...
Here’s an extra long video following Oceane as she journeys on land on Morovo Island, learning about their famous wood carving. We are currently anchored in Morovo lagoon, and have commissioned three villages for some wood carving projects for sylfia. Sp...

Dry fitting an engine can be a bit of a task but finding the correct position for the shaft can be another matter altogether. Fun and games this week and squeezing into tight spaces.

Finishing the bilge work will strike a major milestone in this project but with the most complicated region of the boat being dealt with here, the Catamaran Engine Rooms, it is vital that it is built strong and able to withstand the torque and vibration th...
This one is for the fans. Listening to your requests; longer, less music, and not Ruth-less. Thank you for watching and following along on this dream. We’ve been taking time to be together and not always working on the boat. All of this means nothing if ...

Installing a motor on a brand new build, when doing it yourself, isn’t cut and dry. It’s easy to take for granted the simplicity of repowering an old boat or rebuilding an engine in your restoration (however, NOT easy) but when you have to decide the p...
Thinking into the future, the deck mould preparation can begin. Looking towards the container shelter tent and flipping the lid for the laminating. Finishing up the engine bolster lamination, and a mad rush to Queensland before the border lockdown and a vi...
