Solar and Battery Upgrade for Cruising Sailboat - Sailing Helios S02E01#solar #lithiumbatteries
We have a few projects to complete before we are ready to go for the season and first up is one of the big projects that we have been working on for a while, since mid 2022 shortly after we had ordered the boat.
In this episode we will take you through the upgrade of our house batteries, our solar panels and building the stainless steel arch where the new panels will be installed, and all of the other things that needed to be done for this project.
We will take you through the specifics of our installation for our Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 410 sailboat, what capacity of batteries we installed, how much solar power we have, how we designed and built the arch to suit our boat, how we have installed the solar panels and what we use to manage and control the system.

We Didn’t Plan to Stop in Canet – Here’s Why We Had To – Sailing Helios S04E25
We didn’t plan to come back to Canet-en-Roussillon. A few weeks ago the plan was to return west through the Balearic Islands. Italian coastal adventures: Ponza and Gaeta
We’re back in Ponza after sailing across from Sardinia. The forecast, however, has ot...
