There's a common theme to boat ownership: Repair, Organize, Provision so you can Cruise (which includes repairing, organizing, and provisioning) until you have to take time out for something so you can Repair, Organize, Provision...You get the idea.
Since we just bought Roam, we're going through the precursor to this process: Disassemble, Clean, Reassemble, Organize, Repair (which includes Disassemble, Repair, Organize, and reassemble) so we can go cruising on a boat we're familiar with and understand. Right now though, we disassemble, clean, repair/install, reassemble and constantly organize!
Last week I predicted that I'd be working on our database in this episode... Plans sometimes have to change and I think it's the wise (or at least still living) captain who reads the weather and alters course when necessary. Last week had some unplanned course changes that delayed work on the database. It has to happen soon but, other things became a higher priority.

We’ve chosen to Roam the world by boat because, let’s face it, the most interesting path is rarely a straight line.
As we learn to let go of our American drive to finish, and embrace the meandering routes across islands, oceans, continents, and people, we hope to gain a better sense of our world and our place in it.
The path won’t always be comfortable or easy to find but, it will always #roam
