Welcome to Out Chasing Stars! We're Admiral Amy and Captain David and we're currently exploring the world on s/v Starry Horizons, our Fountaine Pajot Helia 44 catamaran. We started out (nervously!) watching our boat get launched in La Rochelle, France in October of 2014. Since then we've completed an entire world circumnavigation, sailing over 37,000nm, and documented it all here on YouTube. We started making these videos to show our family and friends what life was like on a sailboat, and we're still amazed that other people have also started following along. It's been so much fun to share our adventures and we love reading all the comments and support! There's a lot of world left to see so don't forget to check back in and subscribe! What’s this?! An Out Chasing Stars channel trailer?? Well, we figured after almost three years of making videos, it was about time!
Meet Amy and David. We’re a couple of modern day adventurers who sold everything, bought a boat and are sailing around the world. Since Starry Horizons, our Helia 44 catamaran, was launched in October of 2014, we’ve sailed almost 25,000 nautical miles and covered half the globe. Along the way we’ve visited 22 countries, crossed the Atlantic once and the Pacific twice! We’ve still got about three years to go before we end up back in the Caribbean to finish our circumnavigation.
We’ve created this channel to document our adventures and hopefully to help inspire others to get out and chase their dreams. There’ s a lot of world left to see so be sure and subscribe to follow the adventure!
