Today I have been working with the dining room, to secure the hatch lid for the stovage below the seat.
I have fastened two long bronze nuts. Screws into them will hold the lid. The are fixed with screws and NM-epoxy and glassfibre.
To prevent epoxy from enter the threads there are screws wrapped with Teflon tejp in the threads.
The rope hinges I now realise was not needed. Captain Perry put the lid under a ledge. That I had planned for the sleeping room.
But those ledges take up space and I did worry, would they interfere with my behind.
Anyway, by thinking about it I got the Idea of pegs.
I will do a little bit of thinking to work out that.
