[Ep 23] Life Offshore: A 56-Hour Passage Down Pacific Baja & HUGE Fishing Fails
In this episode, we set sail from Bahia Tortugas for a 56 hour, 260+ mile passage down the Baja coast to Bahia Santa Maria. The conditions are perfect for some beautiful sailing, but the days are long at sea. Along the way, we break out the fishing gear hoping to land a big one… but let’s just say the ocean had other plans. From stunning offshore sunrises and sunsets to the calm rhythm of life under sail, this episode captures what long passages are really like.

SV Cosmo
Cosmo is a 2000 Dufour Center Cockpit sailboat. Supposedly there are only 15 of these models built in the world, which would make sense since we still haven’t found an owner’s manual or proper documentation from Dufour. She is a 43 foot vessel with 2 cabins, 2 heads, and we’ve beefed her up with so many upgrades and features since 2020, she’s practically a whole new boat.
