Here, we had an impromptu opportunity to tour a quite new Dufour 430 sailboat that was currently being chartered but for sale by the owner. It’s a nice example of a modern production boat. Not a heavy ocean sailor but a fun inshore cruiser. Fit and finish was quite good and it would make a nice way to gunkhole around the Chesapeake Bay for weekends aboard. Longer passages wouldn’t be out of the question, but the smaller size would limit room for a genset, although a jobsite type gas powered generator might work. Who knows?
