E18 - Mount Dore, Shipwrecked Yacht and the Isle of Pines
We anchor at Isle Bailly tender in to find our way to the start of the trail to the summit of Mount Dore, a hike 7.2km that follows summit ridge to an elevation of 772 metres overlooking the city of Noumea and the Grand Lagoon
We head towards Isle of Pines, stopping at Isle Du-Ana where we discover a yacht that has run aground and lies wrecked on the edge of the beach.
Continuing on we arrive at Kuto Bay in Isle of Pines
After organising a tour of the island we explore St Maurice Bay, Vao Village and the Notre Dame de l’Assomption Catholic Church, Queen Hortense's Cave, Oro natural pool or the also known as the Blue Hole, and the old jail ruins.
