E149 - Loyalty Islands, Lifou
We head up the east coast of New Caledonia to Kouakoue Bay and snorkel on the best and healthiest coral we have ever seen. Leaving early in the morning we sail across to Lifou in the Loyalty Islands. Stopping in the lovely protected bay at Drueulu we stop at the tiny supermarket, and seek out the chief. While snorkelling on the nearby Dentist Aquarium, a local comes out by boat and tells us to stop swimming and move on!

WHO ARE WE?
We’re Chris and Jo and we have been living on our Seawind 1260 since January 2019. In our first year we bring our yacht down the east coast of Australia and sail it out to New Caledonia. After cruising further north up the east coast of Australia in 2020, we decide to circumnavigate Australia during 2021 and 2022.
We had previously owned fishing and water skiing boats, but after a couple years crewing in South Australia we decided to jump right in and make a sea change.
We are just an ordinary Aussie couple exploring what this great world has to offer and hope that we can inspire others just as we were by watching other YouTube channels to follow our dreams.
