With Varuna in the boatyard waiting for her bowsprit replacement, we have been out all over California with Ty working, but it’s finally time to say goodbye to the working world and head back to the coast.
On our way back, we happen across Buttonwillow airport and some guys out there flying some pretty awesome remote control aircraft, doing all sorts of acrobatics and aerial tricks. We also get in some awesome footage of some of California’s iconic fields of produce in the rich agricultural region of the Central Valley.
Once we get back to the boatyard, it’s time to see how the repair progress is coming along. They have the new stainless bowsprit all made up, getting it’s final welds and fitting on the deck to work with our anchor system. It’s been a slow process, but they’ve been doing an outstanding job!
