We start off our journey with small steps. It was so tempting to accept the hospitality of our new friends to stay on the mooring back at Weems creek and sail around Annapolis, building our sailing experience up a bit more before leaving. But we made the tougher decision to leave the safety of the area we knew and make a small but significant jump over to the town of Rock Hall, MD. We stayed at the Magothy River overnight and motored over to Rock Hall in the morning.
As per usual, things broke. But we didn’t let that get us down. We still had no working AC and our anchor acted up when we were pulling up at the Magothy river. So we set ourselves into a marina for the night at Rock Hall for repairs and exploration.
Rock Hall was a wonderful place and Swan creek marina was the perfect place to pull in for our first unknown entrance into a marina. Everything was a first for us, from docking into a slip we hadn’t seen before to checking into a place and exploring the area. But our travel legs kicked in soon enough and we were off, biking around town. We had an incredible time in our short 24 hours there and made the repairs we needed to make. The next morning we left the marina and found a quite space at Still pond to spend the night.
