Our peaceful evening at the dock takes a dramatic turn when the bilge pump kicks in and doesn’t stop, causing panic as we fear we might be sinking. With quick thinking and a bit of chaos, we discover the culprit—a failed raw water pump on our aft head. This incident serves as a valuable reminder to always close those thru hulls when away from the boat.
As the night progresses, we encounter yet another issue with the forward head’s macerator pump, where a dried-up O-ring leads to persistent water leaks. With both heads in need of repair, we must tackle the task at hand while also preparing Gargoyle for the open sea.
