To mowe the lead as far as possible to the windward side I dig into the 70 mm thick divinycell about 50 mm. That leaves 20 mm. That is plenty for strenght porposes. Yachts 60 feet long usually have 20 mm. As an extra precaution I dubble the carbon fibre. The area is pretty minimal about 14 cm lenghtwise.
This way I gain about 20 % st the bottom also it leaves much more room for my toes.
