Now and then you like to remove a piece of metal hardvare set in epoxy. Heating puts it abouve the Glass Transition Temperature, the polymer melts and changes from an ordered structure to an amorphous structure and becomes soft and then it is easy to remove the hardvare.
Here I use a wide heat but I also got a heat gun that is used to weld PVC for example in bathrooms with a very narrow jet.
This is a good tool when doing epoxy.
