Some more work on the blue canvas. It is getting better and better all the time. Now with the top end fastened with Tufnol it will be much quicker.
Some people say this will be much more difficult when the boat moves. Why do they say that?
I belive that they never have been out to sea in a small boat long enough to adapt. I have sailed big boats also.
1969 I bought the hull from an 40 feet steam launch buildt 1885. I converted her to a staysail schooner. Installed a daggerboard to prevent leeway and sailed her to Rio Janeiro in Brasil. Since then I have buildt many small boats and made ocean passages in them.
In my opinion big boats are not confortable when there is much wind. It is much better in a small boat. After some I have adapted to the life on the ocean wave I do not find it more difficult to do work on my boat at sea than in my workshop.
I feel fine.
