Well it’s “Race Day” and the boats leave teir marina through the lock and head to the starting line.
At 1400 the gun goes off and the 2018 Route du rhym Destination Guardaloupe is off.
The “Ultimates” blast off followed by the other multis, IMOCAS, and the rest of the 100 boats , single sailed, boats.
The forcast say two days of moderate winds then in the Bay of Biscay Gale Force. (Isn’t it always like this at this time of the year?)
Rious in front of Le cleach, Josse is doing 35 knots ahead of trancois at 29 knots.
