This is your weekly Global Sailing Highlights show, the World on Water, for October 31St, 2025. This week we have a special on the Transat Cafe L’or, Le Harve, Normandy, which started last weekend, and the 42 boat fleet of four classes sailed into a punishing gale in the English Channel off France. The class 40s were then held ashore as three Ocean 50 Trimarans capsized. The huge Banque Populaire 11 also had to stop to replace a broken rudder.
This is the most punishing Trans Atlantic race held every two years.

After the Class 40 fleet started again on their first leg, all was not well aboard Innovad Group. A broken halyard resulted in their huge sail crashing into the water. With only two crew onboard to retrieve it, this was a back breaking job.
