Bob Oatley has ordered that his 9 year old race-winning Super-Maxi Wild Oats XI be modified to increase its potential against its new opposition the likes of Comanche and Rambler 88 who will race against it in this year’s 2015 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. The way it was done? By a Chainsaw. The boat will get a new wider stern and two metres into its foretriangle bow section. That should get them some new “go-fast” North RAW 3Di sails.
