In recent days the the isolated ice has been seen north of the Antarctic Exclusion Zone on the Vendée Globe course. On high alert, the race management in collaboration with the experts, warned the skippers. The teams are working hard to follow the ice detected, and to keep the skippers informed.
Between yesterday evening and early today Thursdy three skippers saw the icebergs.
Surveillance by CLS, a long-standing partner of the race, is ongoing, and will continue until the last competitors have passed their areas. Mobilized 24/7, the race management team is coordinating with the company’s experts, to ensure a constant relay for the sailors and ensure their safety.
