Massive wind shifts during the last two races made racing difficult and only a few teams succeeded to finish twice with the best. Thanks to a race win, Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS are back on top of the rankings and start to the Medal Race today with the 8 best-placed teams with a 7 points’ advantage. Mantis/ Kagialis GRE and 13 points behind Calabrese/De La Fuente ARG remain the last challengers. Leboucher/Le Berre FRA dropped on rank 4 after a mediocre day (ranks 13/20), but chances for the Bronze Medal still exist. Yannick Brauchli/Romuald Hausser SUI missed the Medal Race, as health problems handicapped the team in the last two races. They finish the World Championship on rank 18, their best result so far.
